Artist FAQS and Information

  • COVID-19:

    • Ready to Hang will abide by current COVID regulations.

    • The Community Arts Workshop is a space with abundant outdoor airflow from several large rolling garage doors and many windows, and the space also has a large outdoor patio.

    • If current COVID conditions continue, we intend to require masks inside the gallery space, recommend them outdoors, and have any eating and drinking only outdoors. If conditions adjust, we will adjust. See this page for any updates as the dates approach.

  • Sizing of Pieces: 12”x12”x5”. The size of the piece includes any frame or hanging hardware. If it’s in a frame the outside edges of the frame should be 12“ x 12“ exactly. If it’s not in a frame the outside edges of the piece should be 12“ x 12“ exactly. 5” deep is the maximum depth but not a required depth. The piece can be flat.

  • What hanging hardware is required? All pieces must be ready to hang. That can be a gallery wire or sawtooth hanger. "Ready to hang" means the piece should sit flush to the wall and not require adjustments by the show crew beyond placing the piece on a nail.

  • No glass please. Plexiglass or other nonbreakable materials are fine if work is framed.

  • What does "local" mean? If you want to get specific, we are emphasizing artists in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties at this time. You must drop off and pick up your work yourself. And hopefully attend the party!

  • All pieces should be dry. :)
